Suspension Repair

Shocks, struts, control arms, bushings and wheel alignment — the components that affect how your vehicle handles and rides.

What Suspension Work Covers

The suspension system connects your vehicle to the road. When components wear out, you'll often notice it through changes in ride quality, handling, or tire wear patterns. We inspect and repair the full range of suspension components on most domestic and imported vehicles.

Warning Signs

  • Bouncing or floating sensation after hitting a bump
  • Nose dives sharply when braking
  • Clunking or knocking over bumps or when turning
  • Vehicle pulls to one side when driving straight
  • Uneven tire wear across the tread
  • Squeaking from suspension when going over rough surfaces
  • Steering wheel off-centre when driving straight

Struts vs Shocks: What's the Difference?

Shocks and struts both dampen suspension movement, but struts are structural — they're part of the steering knuckle assembly. Replacing struts involves more disassembly and typically requires a wheel alignment afterward. Most modern vehicles use struts on the front and either shocks or struts on the rear depending on the design.

If your struts are leaking or heavily worn, you'll usually notice nose-dive under braking and a bouncy, unsettled ride. The improvement after replacement is typically noticeable immediately.

Book a Suspension Inspection

If your ride or handling has changed, a suspension inspection is the right place to start. We'll check the full undercarriage and tell you what we find.
